Jack McCullough to Address TiE Boston

Seminar on Building Capital Efficiency in Entrepreneurial Companies

Panel will outline bootstrapping techniques that bring savings,

operational efficiency and funding opportunities to startup ventures

WELLESLEY, Mass. – April 1, 2006 – AccountAbility Outsourcing vice president Jack McCullough will address TiE-Boston’s upcoming software services business forum, "Bootstrapping from Startup to Success: The Capital-Efficient Software Company.”

Jack’s presentation will demonstrate the many benefits that early-stage companies can reap by outsourcing the functions of the chief financial officer. These benefits include immediate and recurring cost savings and executive-level financial expertise that allows the founders and entrepreneurs to focus on running the business.

Outsourcing the CFO function also gives emerging companies access to the best practices and current knowledge of finance, including new developments in financial reporting, taxation, and information technology. By outsourcing the CFO function, early-stage companies can remain on the current edge of these and other areas, while being able to focus on growing their businesses.

A recognized expert on the financial and strategic issues facing early stage companies, Jack has held senior financial executive positions with six venture-backed firms before joining AccountAbility in January 2006. He is also a founder of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Entrepreneurship Society and a former member of MIT’s New Products and Venture Development Advisory Board.

Joining Jack on the panel will be Micah Rosenbloom, founder and chief operating officer of Brontes Technologies, a manufacturer of three-dimensional oral imaging predicts for dentists; Kim Donlan, marketing director for Demandware, a maker of customizable, on-demand e-commerce technologies; and Christopher Hanson, regional sales executive at TriNet, a human resources consulting firm.

The panel will take place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 13 at the MIT Tang Center in Cambridge. Event sponsor TiE Boston is one of 42 chapters of Tie Global, a worldwide network of 10,000 members dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship. For more information visit www.boston.tie.org.
